Completive Verb Stem

Completive Verb Stem (CMP)

Completive Verb Stem indicates a past or future completed action. Like the Incompletive Verb Stem it can be used with the Experienced Past, Non-Experienced Past, and Progressive Future Suffixes.

When used with the Experienced Past it means the completed action took place in the past.

3B.NS – Third Person Set B Nonsingular Pronominal Prefix

EXP – Experienced Past Suffix (-v final suffix on the Completive and Incompletive Verb Stems to express an event or state that happened or was happening AND the speaker had personal knowledge of it. Full form is -vi (-vvʔi))

When used with the Non-Experienced Past Suffix, the time frame and aspect stays the same, but the speaker obtained the information from someone else.

3B.NS – Third Person Set B Nonsingular Pronominal Prefix

NXP – Non-Experienced Past Suffix (-e final suffix on the Completive and Incompletive Verb Stems to express an event or state that happened or was happening AND the speaker has NOT personally experienced it. Full form is -ei (-éeʔi))

When used with the Progressive Future Suffix it means the action will be completed in some point in the future.

3B.NS – Third Person Set B Nonsingular Pronominal Prefix

PFT – Progressive Future Suffix (final suffix -esdi (-éesdi) appears on Incompletive and Completive Verb Stems to express that an action will be ongoing in the future.

Remember what is a Set A Pronominal Prefix in Present Continuous, Incompletive, and Immediate Verb Stems shift to a Set B Pronominal Prefix in the Completive past.

2B – Second Person Set B Pronominal Prefix

EXP – Experienced Past Suffix (-v final suffix on the Completive and Incompletive Verb Stems to express an event or state that happened or was happening AND the speaker had personal knowledge of it. Full form is -vi (-vvʔi))

When it is used with the Completive Future prefix and suffix, the Completive Stem indicates something will occur.

CMF – Completive Future Prepronominal Prefix – da used on verbs to indicate an event or state will take place in the future. Always appears with the Completive Future Suffix. Completive Future Prepronominal Prefix has variant forms: – da (- daa), – dv (- dvv),  and – day based on adjacent sounds and prefixes.

2B – Second Person Set B Pronominal Prefix

CMF – Completive Future Suffix – I used on verbs to indicate that an event or state will take place in the future. It is usually seen with the Completive Future Prepronominal Prefix. It does carry an ‘s’ after it if another suffix is attached.

The combination of the Completive Stem and the Future Command Suffix creates a command.
